Help! have read through the Read & Run but I cannot do anything with my laptop. Same issue even if I boot in safe mode I am getting blue desktop with message that my computer is at risk. I have rebooted 6 times in different modes but am still unable to run anything. Task manager is unavailable through ctrl-alt-del. I just rebooted and have same background but Trend Micro office scan says it found Cryp_Xed-3 cannot be cleaned--name changed. What do I do now to fix this

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Are you 100% sure that you can run absolutely nothing in either normal boot mode or any of the below modes?
    • safe boot
    • safe boot with networking
    • safe boot with command prompt
If you cannot run anything, then we cannot help you since there is not way to help you if nothing runs. Sort of a catch-22 situation.

How far up does you PC boot? Do you get a your Desktop icons and a Start button?
