No Internet Connection problem

This is my first post and I don't know where to post. Have a lenovo laptop running Windows 7 its been working since July but now everytime I run to my normal desktop I cannot browse the internet using IE or Mozilla. However when I ping a website like yahoo it would show that it received packets and sent packets successfully.

I went into safe mode and I can easily browse the internet. So I thought it was a virus or spyware, I scan using MBAM,SAS and even TDS killer it did not find anything. Disabled all startup items thiking it could be a conflict with one of the programs and boot back to normal and I got the same results.

Do you guys have any idea to resolve/fix this? BTW this happened yesterday.

 

Hi cryostasis25 and welcome to MGs.

A couple of things you can try from the hardware side.
1) Go into Device Manager, open Network Adapters, right click your wifi adapter and choose uninstall and reboot. The adapter will be installed at start up and hopefully work.
2) Go to Lenovo's support site for your comp, download and install possibly an updated driver for your adapter.

I'll let someone else suggest possibilities for the software side of things if these don't work.

Weird after not using the computer for a day I turned it on and was about to remove the network drivers and notice that its working now. I really don't know what happend or could be my internet provider. Thanks its working now we can closed this thread.
