Trying to set up a older computer. When I go to ipconfig i just get a prompt that says windows 2000 ip config
    when i go ip config/all i get
    host name :home
    Primary dns suffix :
    node type broadcast
    ip routing enabled:no
    wins proxy enabled:no
This does not seem right at all.I cannot see my nic card under device manger and under network connections I can only select dial up or Vpn.I want to connect through LAN.Windows 2000 pro

Sounds like it *could* be a hardware problem. Is the Nic disabled in device manager? If it is not showing up, you may have to open the case, pull the card out and reseat it. Possible in a new PCI slot if available. With the computer off and unplugged of course. Do you get a link light when you plug a switch or router into it? Have you tried pinging the loopback address 127.0.0.1?

Well my power supply is on the way out.Known fact.I am hoping the weak voltage is causing it not to be seen.It is a belkin.I can't find the model on the card.or on there website.I will post back when the psu is installed
