no "Share this folder on the network"

Hi,

I did it many times but here it doesn't work. I have a small network and I can not shared a folder from 1 computer (I call it the BAD computer). Other computers can see on their Explorer the folder on the BAD computer. But when I click on it I have the message:

"xxxxxx is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The specified network name is no longer available.":confused

XP+SP3
use simple file sharing
IP's are on the same network
Workgroup is the same
I turn off/on firewall & antivirus without success.

SOLVED - I found the solution!!!

I tried many solutions given on internet.:cry

The only that works for me was to do an Automatic Repair with the Ms cd of Windows XP (+SP3). :cool

It is not the first Repair you see when you boot with the cd but the second one when the cd detect the installation of Windows XP on your Hard Drive. You have the 2nd option of Repair. All is done automatically. The process looks like a new installation of XP (with one or two reboots). :major

Important

You will need to do a "Microsoft Updates" after. Because many applications (like Outlook) won't run.
