No Sound After Vista Upgrade

Greetings everyone, I've looked through the forum and around the web but I think it's time to turn to you all once again for help. I recently updated my PC from XP to Vista Ultimate. I'm running a Dell Dimension 8400. When I ran the install it said the sound device might have a problem but I figured I'd be able to find the drivers online. No such luck so far. I've tried some drivers I found on other forums with no success. I'm pretty sure the sound device is SoundMax but in system info it says "Unimodem half-duplex audio device." Let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks again, Madness

 

Not sure if this will work, Dell is not supporting their XP PC's that are being upgraded to Vista at the moment. This is a possible solution, I found.
