No sound in WMP on Vista when playing .RMVB

    I have installed real alternative so I can play them in windows media player, i just like using that for everything, yet they have no sound. They work fine in media player classic and real player, so what is wrong? Can anyone of you genii help me? :D

    Try downloading and installing this codec pack.
    RMVBis the acronym for RealMedia Variable Bitrate. RealMedia Variable bitrate is the audio and video encoder for the RealMedia multi media container format, hence why it works in RealPlayer.

    which pack? i have real alternative, and i have read that this should make it work :S yet it hasnt, i get video, no souind

    dw bout it, but it would seem i already have all of those codecs, I use the K Lite Mega Codec Pack, and seems to work fine for everything, and theres nothing in the pack you link me to thats different :(

    I dont see why it doesnt work for me when all over the net people just install real alternative and it works

    Vista can be a unique little baby ;) You have the Vista codec pack installed too?
