no sound on my comp

i have windows xp installed on my pc,but have no sound,i have firefox windows broswer,can any help,do i need to download a something ? thxs

 

First do this:

Start > Run > devmgmt.msc

That opens a window called "Device Manager"

Could you see any device with a (!) yellow exclamation mark?

 

no i cannot see anything with a (!)

Well, first open the device manager as i wrote before.

After the window is open, search a Key in your keyboard that says "PrtScr / SysRq" is close to "Scroll Lock" Over "Insert and Supr"

After that, open paint:

Start > run > pbrush

You will open a Paint, and press Control + V (to paste the image)

Save the file in your desktop.

Go to :

Good job, your problem is that you haven't installed the drivers for Audio.

Is Everest and his job is tell us the name of the device that we have to install.

1.After you install it, you will have to check your Sound Device and find out the name of it.
2.Or you can provide me the name of the Mainboard (is better if you found the name of the audio device or both)

After that, post the name of the device, it's pretty simple, you will see Motherboard, Ethernet cards, jsut find the Audio devices and put the names here i will help you to find out your drivers.
