No sound out of media players - help

I recently ran hijackthis to get rid of some programs I didn't want automatically booted when I started/restarted my computer (such as Netwaiting, Quicktime, Dell's MediaLauncher [what I believe to be the culprit], and PowerDVD). Now, media has no sound out of my speakers, but anything besides media files still play (such as when loading Dell Support, it makes a sound that still works). I have no idea what I deleted, and when I try to run Dell Media Experience I get a blue screen (of death ). Here are some of my system specs:
