No sound vista 64bit

    are you using digital audio hookup for your speakers? if not, select the other one above it (the one that says not plugged in) and choose set default

    im guessing its not the case, cause realtek usually detects when you plug the speakers in.. if thats it, then you can disregard.

    no i am not using digital audio hookup for my speakers
    and the problem is that i cant select the one above it to set it to default
    that's what i am not geting i think i might have fryed it but i don't under stand why it would still detect that is there? :(

    look in back and make sure it's plugged into the green slot. also unplug and replug jack(sometimes dust etc can give a bad connection)if you have another set of speakers give them a try (or try those on another pc) to eliminate the speakers from being bad
