Several weeks ago my hard drive on my PC crashed. I installed a new 100mg
hard drive and re-installed Windows XP Professional along with the other programs I had on My old unit. Now I find I don't have any sound when playing vidio clips or music cd"s. I suspect that Windows XP did not recognize the onboard audio drivers on the motherboard. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the forums :cool!

You should have a cd with the drivers for your motherboard. Install all of them, and you should be good to go. If you have lost the disk, see if you can download them from the companies site.
