No sound

    I have a Compaq Presario 5311SR with Windows XP Home Edition. I don't know what happened, but about two weeks ago I lost all sound from inernet webpages. I have read many threads and followed every one of them to try to correct this problem. I have downloaded new drivers for my sound card (SoundMax), checked my sounds folder, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash 9, and checked regedit, I have even installed Everest all to no avail. Any sugestions? Help!
