    Greetings, eddie17.

Are there any flags in Device Manager?

If so, then try reloading your chipset and audio drivers.

If you don't have those available or cannot find them, please do the following:

Download and run Free PC Audit, a stand-alone system information tool.

(If you get a Security Warning, don't worry about it - uncheck the 'Always ask before opening this file' box, and click 'Run').

When the scan completes, click File > Save As, name the file 'Report', and save to an easily found location, such as your Desktop.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

Again: are there any flags in Device Manager, and if so, what are they?

Unfortunately, that report is not showing your chipset version, and there are multiple chipsets listed for the MS-7222 with the Intel Socket 775. Try this:

Go here, pick your language, click 'Go', click 'Downloads', and run the Live Update Service. The applet should then scan your machine for the proper chipset downloads. It would be better to save any downloads to a location, if possible, and then run them (if that option is not presented, then run the installs from the site).

I have seen references to your motherboard which name it the MSI PM8PM-IL/ L - if the MSI scan doesn't come up with anything, you might try the drivers listed there.

    No problem.

In your Control Panel > System > Device Manager, there should be a list of all of the machine's installed hardware - if there are any yellow or red warnings there, please list them here.

Don't worry about the MSI thing - if we can get a handle on what's missing, we should be able to find some drivers.

Hi again and thx for the reply, when i went to the manager the 1st thing what hit me was a yellow question mark so i opend that in other devices and it says multimedia audio controller and next to it is a yellow exclamation mark.In the ports there are alot of unknown devices, and everything else seems ok,no srry network adapters there is a 1394 net adapter red cross next to it,but thats it.

    Ok, let's take a shot:

Download the following files: VIA Chipset 4in1 and Realtek AC97 Audio. Install the chipset driver first, reboot, install the audio driver, reboot, and see if your symptoms have changed.

To clarify: your volume control is working, and you do get audio from your speakers and/or headphones when testing Windows sounds?

Are there any flags in Device Manager?

We need to get the machine up and running before we tackle YouTube - that symptom might be browser-based.

    We got lucky. ;)

Frankly, I'd suggest starting a new thread in the Software forum listing your browser version and symptoms - your machine's audio and chipset drivers now seem to be working fine, so your issues are most likely concerning the operating system and/or browser(s). The Software gurus are more likely to help you there than in this Driver forum.

    Good luck! :major
