No sound?

    Hello'
    I just installed Win 2K in my friends computor with Sp4.
    The problem I am having is getting the onboard sound to work. I tried the drivers from the Compaq web site with no luck. The computor is a Compaq 5006US, S/N 1X14JD4TK1ZD. I hope I can get it to work, if not I will have to buy a sound card.

    No Sound

    Glib...this may sound ridiculous but some no sound problems I've corrected in Dell computer was to open up the computer & merely re-seat the sound card. Another was to take a look in the back of the tower & see if the sound plug-in cable is in it's correct position.
