I just built a brand new pc and just got all the components together and booted it up for the first time. I have it hooked up through hdmi (and tried dvi) but no video will show up. I have never built a system from scratch before so Im not sure if I need to do something to get it going but I cant find anything in the manuals. I am using these components:
    Motherboard: ELITEGROUP P55H-A
    Processor: Intel i3 530
Graphics card: Saphire Radeon HD 5750
Im not sure if it has something to do with the integrated graphics on the processor or what. Any help and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I am a noob at this so dont be too harsh ;)

Does any yellow show up in Device Manager?
Is your plug-in card selected to be the used device?
Have you tried both outputs to see if any change?

how can I select the card if I have no video? yes ive tried all the outputs. and there isnt even an OS on this pc yet, i just set it up and im trying to get video, im nowhere near any device manager.

UPDATE: none of my usb's have power, front or back, nor does the keyboard I/O output or any output on my pc at that. Im guessing this might have something to do with it. When I power it on all the fans come one, cpu, graphics card, and all case fans, and several lights come on on the motherboard.

    PLEASE HELP

If you take out your video card and plug your monitor into the onboard video does the computer POST with video?

If so, you should try going into BIOS and disabling the onboard video. Then shut the computer down and install the new video card.

actually my motherboard has no video output connections. It only has 8x usb, 1x Esata, 7.1 audio outputs, ethernet, and the I/O connections for mouse and keyboard. My cpu says it has integrated graphics, but the motherboard has no connections so I have to connect through my graphics card.

UPDATE: I thought that I would note that the motherboard does not beep on startup. I cant find the beep codes for it so I dont know what that means. The speaker is installed because it beeps if I dont have the ram hooked up.

Did you select a suitable power supply for the job? Also make sure you don't have any of the motherboard posts in the wrong places as you will have problems if these are jabbing into solder joints on the underside of the board, this is a common mistake.

yes my power supply is 650 watt should be plenty. it appears that the mother board is in its correct possition in the case. all of the screws are lining up perfectly. I have emailed the motherboard support and they gave me a list of 20 something trouble shooting steps so ill have a fun time tomorrow testing those.
