    Hello,

About a week ago i noticed that the windows update didn't work (i don't know for how long this already was). It said that the serurity centre wasn't turned on. When i tried to turn it on, i got a error (don't now what anymore, but when i looked at services, the was no item serurity centre). I surfed the internet and tried various things. One of the things was "combofix". Combfix found a virus called Rootkit.ZeroAccess. Combofix maked the repairs. after that i could turn on serurity center, but when i tried to update windows i got the error 80096001. I tried various thing i found on the internet (fixit's from microsoft, different scans), bur with no result.
I use avira internet serurity. There is a problem to that accurred yesterday; only the realtime scanner is active, but not the mail and web protection.
When i look at the action-centre i says that windows defender is not active and i said that i don't have a virus program.
I did everything from the tread "Vista and Win 7 Malware Removal/Cleaning Procedure". The log's are attached.

I hope you can help me. I'm close to the point to back-up the most importent files, format the pc and install windows again, but i hope did isn't nessecarry.

    Kind regard,
    Fiona

    Try this:

Download fix.zip (find attached) to your desktop, unzip it to find the fix.reg.

    • Now please click Start, and type regedit into the search box.
    • You should see a regedit.exe and icon appear in the Programs area of the Start Menu.
    • Right click on regedit.exe and select Run As Administrator
    • Then in the Registry Editor menu click File and select Import.
    • Navigate to the fix.reg file saved to your Desktop and double click it. Allow it to be added to the registry.

Now reboot the machine. Are windows updates now okay?

When you ran the Windows Repair Tool by Tweaking.com did you ensure that you did this on the Start up repairs Tab?
    • Reset registry permissions
    • Reset file permissions
    • Remove Policies Set By Infections
    • Repair Winsock & DNS Cache
    • Repair windows updates
    • Checkmark Restart System When Finished option
    • click the Start button
    • System should restart after repair

I'm starting to feel like this is out of the realm of the malware forum really, however, try this: How to Run a Startup Repair in Windows 7 If that does not work I suggest you post in the software forum for help. :)

OK and best of luck! :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
