When attempting to read a DVD it invariably reports 'Corrupt disk'. I've verified the disk is fine. I installed a new DVD drive and get the same error. Also, the original drive works fine in another notebook. So. Software?

Could it be my NVIDIA drivers. NVIDIA won't load and I get the error message I placed in the title. Even if that's not the DVD culprit, seems like I would want them to work.

The DVD drive is an HP DVD drive, Model DS-8A1H. So far I've had no success in reviving it.

Hi & thanks. I did do that. Nothing changed. For what it's worth, when I click updates, it says my drivers are the best available.
