okay well again welcome to major geeks

first of all your going to need something to diasble your startup programs easily (that is probally why you have so many processes running)

    so first download CCleaner

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4191.html

install it and once its open go to Tools>startup and take a screenshot of all the items there and post it in your reply

if there are any questions feel free to post back

or, like you said, you are not sure how to take a screen shot, then download process explorer:
    http://majorgeeks.com/Process_Explorer_d4566.html

simply run the program (procexp.exe) and then go to file/save as... and it will save a text file of your running processes. u can then attach that text file to your post so we can have a look.

are you having problems with your computer at the moment? have you checked to see if your computer is not infected with malware? you might want to run through these steps to see if your problem is related.

Just be patient and don't have any worries about asking questions.
If you don't understand what or how to do a certain thing, just ask and someone will explain, until you do get it. :)
Sometimes, it's hard to gauge what a person actually knows, so we sometimes either explain too much or not enough. rolleyes

Unless I really missed something, the thread starter didn't really say what was wrong with the PC other than she wants to shut off some processes. So- what I'd like to ask is: is the PC running slow? Is it doing things you don't want it to do or aren't expecting it to do? What exactly is the issue? Stopping processes is fine and good, but as soon as the PC is restarted, the same processes will be back, so we'll need to know exactly what is going on so we can remove the programs responsible for the processes. However, the suggestions above are excellent; post the text file report as an attachment, and/or the screen shot suggested by wolfx28. Click here for a quick-n-easy guide to taking screen shots. Once you have the screen shot saved to your PC (use JPEG format to save space), you can attach it to a future post by clicking on the 'Go Advanced' button, then click 'Manage Attachments' (or the little paper clip) and browse to and upload the screen shot. The same process is used for all attachments including text files, zip files, etc.
    I hope this helps! :-D

just to clear up that question if you did not understand there is another way to shut these processes off and thats through getting rid of them from your start up so they wont be running the whole time your using your computer or the other obvious way uninstall them if they are not required and are just takeing up space:p
