those effects sound exactly like the normal bugs that have been happening to me on a regular basis due to Nvidia's crappy drivers and MS's wonderful update that decided that I had to have those drivers.

I wont go off on too much of a rant about Windows ME 2007 Edition, but there are more bugs there than a cockroach farm. Especially WU, WGA, and the whole validation process.

I got hit with that when I forgot to activate after 30 days, you can only browse to MS. There's none of this browse for an hour unless you want to read the same page for all that time. The stories that get out sometimes flabbergast me as they're viral at times.

 

I think your link is fake, not the other one MS hired spin doctors to hide their world domination plans, but I have seen through it all.

One of my university's network administrators sent out an email about this to the whole IT dept. about this. I wonder if anyone had the heart to tell them they were taken by a hoax yet... I haven't gotten an email saying it was, so far.

Oh well, it just goes to show knowledgeable people can be taken for things too.
