Updated the Ver 8 of AVG....restarted computer but got a black screen with statement " Non-system disk or disk error. Replace & strike any key when ready. Now I can go to f12 & choose boot fm Hard disk drive to get back to the normal windows desktop but even if I try to restore to an earlier time it will not. Any re-boot brings back the black screen with "non-system disk". Some suggestions please.

Do you have any disks in floppy or cd drives? Not related to AVG but that is usually what would cause that message.

Thanks for the repy. Yes....thankyou......I did have a floppy in the drive. Much appreciated. I'm running an AVG scan now & when it's done I'll re-boot & hopefully everything will be ok.:)
