undefinedI recently purchased a Abit KV8-max3 motherboard with an AMD ATHLON 64 3000 CPU. Installed all the parts and booted up the machine, post codes showed 9.0 and the audio alarms went crazy, reset and post code F.O. showed and the audio alarms still went crazy. The CPU came with a heatsink fan. I was reading your posts and some people suggest getting a different heatsink and applying thermal paste. I'm wondering if the alarms meant that the CPU was overheating. The post codes that showed up were no where in the manual that came with the motherboard.

I am having the same problem as icekoolkat here, except I just purchased a KV8 Pro. Just hooked everything up, I have experience with system installs so I'm not a total noob, but I'm getting the same errors perhaps: loud multi-tonal beeping, and POST codes on the debug LED that aren't in the manual. The one it seems to hang on is 0.4. which as you see is not in the official manual. There were other codes not in the manual as well, but none perhaps worth remembering. Anyone know where a more complete listing of these POST codes might be?
