Hi. Sorry, but it's not in moderation or anything so I think you lost it. :(

To make sure it doesn't happen again, I would recommend you make sure the box is checked under your user name and password when signing in that says keep me logged in. You can always log out afterward, but this tends to happen sometimes to people when they don't check that box and type a long post.

oops. Yep. I'm always logged in (;)) so couldn't remember what it said exactly. But yes, make sure that box is checked.

Yeah. Saves a cookie on your machine so that the site knows you.

Always prepare your posts and save them in a text editor on your machine.

Then copy/paste into a forum post!
    -------------------------------------

If you do a lot of posting:
    1. Prepare in text editor such as Notepad.
    2. Paste into a BBCode editor (such as AHK BBCodeWriter) and check what it will look like as a final post.
    3. Paste into a forum post, and check all is correct in Preview ... and then post.

AustrAlien had a great suggestion, but if you don't want to have to do all that, at the very least, after you type you comments, BEFORE you click the Submit Reply or Preview Post button, highlight your text and COPY it, so that if, in the event that you should somehow lose it again, you will still have it "copied" in your system, so that you can just "paste" it into a new posting screen.

I've learned this the hard way (just like you) cause I too have lost some very valuable text because I haven't saved it properly. I do the same thing in MS Office (MS Word) by the way --- I have become a compulsive frequent saver, because I know that you can lose your screen at any time --- and all the unsaved text that's on it! :cry

Have you tried booting in Safe Mode and using System Restore?
That link you steered us to about changing the partition was for a MacBook. Is that what type of machine you have?
If not, you should know that Mac's and PC's aren't configured or set up the same way.
