Norton and Zone Alarm Pro

Hello there,
I would just like an expert opinion for the following:

I have recently purchased Norton Internet Security which comes with a firewall, etc. I also have ZA PRO installed on my computer.
Is it bad if they both run at the same time? I know it is for some firewalls because they may conflict but ZA always askes me the "allow" "deny" dialogue box. An expert opinion please; I just thought it would be more safe to use both, but am not sure

Running two firewalls on your computer at the same time may cause unnecessary conflicts or performance problems for you. You do not need two firewalls on your computer to ensure your protection

 

Only time to run two is when you have a hardware firewall (in a router etc) as well as a software firewall.

Choose between Norton and ZA.

I prefer ZoneAlarm Pro, but they are both very good.

 

But since he has the suite he should just stick with the firewall that came along with it, instead of causing more problems..Dont get me wrong Zone Alarm Pro is a great firewall( I think better then norton ).

Well if we're talking suites, I'd rather have ZoneAlarm Security Suite.

They are both pretty good, but ZA Security Suite is more effective and easier to use.

I'm sure you can get an upgrade from ZA Pro pretty cheap.

 

Thanks guys, I think I will stick with Norton Internet Security 2006 suite and see how it goes. ZA was a great firewall for the 2, 3 years I've been using it for .
