Hi, I have got NIS 2003, the subscription ran out a while back so I used thier services to download the 2004 update. however, whenever I try to install this update Im told that a user with a supervisor account must login to unistall the old version. strange thing is, the 2003 does not have user acounts as far as i can see....? I have tried everything - obviously, symantic being symantic, i got F*ck all help from their customer services... unless I wanted to pay for it of course.... nice.
I have another machine with a copy of 2003 on it still inside its subscription, i have tried the update on this one and it works fine. I have tried deleting the old 2003 from this machine to reinstall the 2003 and then add the update, but again i get the same thing about the supervisor need to to be logged in to do this..
can anyone help? im feeling kinda bare without my internet security....
oh, im running win xp on a sony vaio fr315
    thank you

Get your money back and get hold of Avast (antivir) and Sygate (firewall).
Both available for download here at Major Geeks but I'm damned if I know how to post the shortcut.
    Cheers
