Norton or eTrust

I am running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, version 5.1.2600.

My subscription to ETrust Pest Patrol has ended and I can no longer get updates; however, I can still run scans and quarantine pests. When I bought it last year, it fixed the problems I was having with my computer.

It seems like my choices are as follows:

    1. Download Etrust EZ Armor, a security suite which includes Pest Patrol. I understand that I would need to remove Norton Internet Security 2006 and run EZ Armor instead. It is provided free by Time Warner (Roadrunner).

    2. Not download EZ Armor and keep Norton Internet Security 2006 instead. I can still run Pest Patrol scans and quarantine, but I cannot get updates.

    3. Extend my subscription to Pest Patrol for one year (cost of $30) and keep running Norton Internet Security 2006. I have over 400 days remaining on Norton.

    Please advise.

    Oh yeah, and thanks!!

    I wouldn't recommend either!
You can get free alternatives that do as well, if not better, than both products you've listed.

The how to protect yourself from malware thread has some excellent recommendations! All are free and lightweight!
