That is what i got... alot of bloodhound s***! i cant remove it... I think if i remove this... i will get my problem fixed, problem is that i cant acess my documents, my computer, IE, control panel etc some days... other days i can... i think this should be in a virus board... but i only found a read only... i have XP Pro... Norton Antivirus 2004... and i cant remove anything...

 

god... how do i stop norton TO NOT SHOW THE MESSAGE: "Virus alert"... because it freakin me out... itsalways showing up!!!

 

It's probably showing up because you have viruses. You gotta get rid of them. Also may I suggest that you install a firewall like Zone Alarm. Obtainable from this site

I found this thread going through search. I have had the same thing. I installed Norton Antivirus 2005, and went through the pre-install. It showed that I had the Bloodhound.Packed virus that was affecting C:\windows\system32\javamm.exe I can't seem to get anything javascript on my PC and control panel, start icon in bottom right of screen don't show up. Norton Antivirus couldn't remove the virus. I went to the Microsoft site, tried doing what they suggested which but while searching for winie.exe, i got a message that it couldn't find shell.dll.

I really don't know what the heck to do at this point, as the anti-virus program I bought can't remove the virus!! Any suggestions? I have gone through everything suggested on the "read this" thread, cleaned up all my spyware, but can't seem to get rid of this...any info would be appreciated.

I just did a Google search for this virus, and came up with some results. It seems that when Norton AntiVirus detects a virus that isn't in their definition database, it is labeled as BloodHound.*. It seems that you have what Norton thinks is a virus, or has identified as such, and the recommendation from their web site, is to quarrantine it and send it to them! Hope this helps!
