    Hi there,

You guys have always been amazing in the past, and here I am again with problems. (Which is really weird as I have not really been using my laptop for ages - I've been using my tablet.) Anyway, I don't know when this occurred, and I know you need to know that. I'm sorry. I can tell you that at first I thought it was a system issue since I hadn't been online much, so I did a system restore back to 12/19/2013. It didn't fix the problem, and it was then that I realized it was highly likely a virus of some sort.

I'm attaching the logs as requested.

For the MalwareBytes program, please be advised that it would not let me update the program or definitions (even after following the alternate link shown in the instructions).

For the Hitman Pro program, please be advised that even though I was using the internet, the scan wouldn't begin because it said it was awaiting internet connection. So, I followed the scanning procedure given for people with no internet connection, even though I did have it. I can only assume the virus was blocking it in that manner.

I have IObit on my system as well, and it hasn't been able to update for a long time (again, I'm sorry for not knowing exactly how long), stating it was unable to connect to the server due to no internet connection. (But again, I was able to connect and utilize the internet.)

Essentially I am unable to use or update any anti-virus program. My computer doesn't seem to be having issues navigating the internet, though. Oh! But it also won't let me update Adobe Flash Player.

And one other, probably unrelated issue, I was previously able to connect wirelessly to a printer in my house and print from this laptop, but now it says it is unable to connect. We have tried and tried again to correct the problem, but it doesn't work. If that is not a malware issue, I can address that in another thread in the appropriate forum. :)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! :)

I am not seeing any signs of malware in those logs at all. I suggest that you post about this in the software forum. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Hmm. So odd... Thank you so much, Kestrel. You've always been very kind. Before I move to a different forum, I'll post the error messages I'm getting from my anti virus program/scanners so you'll see why I felt that it must be a virus. I am surprised I'd be having issues with each program. :( I can surf the net fine, but it seems these programs cannot connect...?

    Anyway, thank you again! :)

Hi there. I am really not finding anything suspicious in those logs at all, so software forum is definately going to be your next stop. :)
