not playing/scratched DVDs

I used to use a 300 dvd player, but it seemed every dvd I'd go to play was scratched or dusty
I use a cheap dvd play now, but some dvds are scratched or dusty and hang up and then after a bit, play

I don't know if I can make the DVDs be restored

and I don't know how to store them so they are easy to get to without scratching or hurting them
I have a big book that holds 300 DVDs in plastic pouches, so this seems to hurt the DVDs...is there something better to use or a way to restore a dvd once it has been scratched so it won't skip or hang up when I play it on my TV?

I use rubbing alcohol and a cloth to clean my disks. Also, there are several businesses out there that will buff out disks for a couple bucks each. Look for movie or game rental companies.

 

yeah, I'm sure the book isn't hurting them itself, much as to walk to buy low cal food you have to go by the free donuts lady.
I have some commerical DVD cases and I am going to store them in that, but that's going to require a lot of room and time to get a shelf and all that crap and I don't have the time, I am have booked solid doing nothing already.
