I've read the boards looking for an answer to my quandary but I am not able to find something to the specificity of what is going on with my OS.

I've uploaded a video to YouTube so you can view what is actually happening:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OQcS4WcUj0

What it is doing is whenever I click on a window I get Not Responding, etc.. And whenever I click on say a save window option I have to click it several times before it'll let me select what to save it as.

    Can anyone offer any guidance?

Specs of PC in the attachment.

    Thank you in advance,

    Brad.

I fixed it myself. Did the following:

    1) Ran an Avast Professional Full Scan

    Start> Computer> Right-click C:\> Properties> Tools tab> Error-checking>

    2) Clicked Check now...> Clicked Start

    Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools>

    3) Ran Disk Cleanup

    4) Ran Disk Defragmenter

    Restarted PC> Into Bios>

    5) Went to my Advanced> Enabled Memory Remap Feature> Saved & Exited
(Did this because I noticed that I had 3.50 GB (3582 MB) allocated as system memory only) where there should have been 4 GB.

I hope this helps everyone who may have this similar issue.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but tried something that worked for things that still had the issue. After doing everything in the list, I:

    1) Found the executable of whatever was bothering me
    Start> Computer> C:\> Program Files (x86)> Opera> Opera.exe
(This is an example of a program that still did the Not Responding thing).

    2) Right clicked the .exe; clicked on Properties.
    Opera.exe Properties> Compatibility tab> Compatibility mode> Choose WinXP

    3) Next choose
Privilege Level> Choose Run this program as an administrator

    4) Click OK
