    ....I'm back.

    Bad news:

A good friend of mine's wife died this past Thursday. She was a fun person to be around. Love boardgames, loved her kids, loved playing tabletop RPG's, and made good homemade food fresh from their garden. Anyway, I was pretty much down in the dumps for a time. Though, I didn't want to go to the funeral, I went anyway for his familiy. Why didn't I want to go? I'd rather remember her alive and happy, then in the casket.

    Good news:

I bought my pool table this past Saturday (installed on the same day/played on the same day). 7' C.L. Bailey, drop pocket, 1" brazilian diamond-honed slate.

Well, it is time to catch up on the forums. See you out there!

I missed you! Hate to hear your experience with your friends wife dying. I'm off until Friday with my father-in-law passing away. It bothers me, because I spent more time with him than his children or his brother, although all live in the same town. Won't go into details, but glad to see you back! :)

Sorry about your friend's wife theefool. I'm like you when it comes to funerals, but usually I'm glad I went when it's all over. They are sad and depressing but It's the right thing to do I think.

Good to see you back. :)

    Thanks all.

I've been meaning to jump online quite a bit, but just didn't have the interest in doing so. Just takes time I guess.

I've had a grandfather die in the past, and it didn't hit me as hard has this did. Though, I only saw my grandfather about 12 times. Was one of the guys who carried the casket from the church to the grave, wearing my dress whites (navy) at the time.

But, I knew my friend's wife more than him .

Sorry to hear about that!!!! i was curious what happened to you!!!!

I don't care if it is the neighbor two houses down...the closer you are to them,,,the harder it hits home!!!!

Hang in there...I had a grandfather die a couple of years ago (was like a second father to me...it hit pretty hard, but I tried to focus on the social aspect of the whole situation (seeing friends and family get together that haven't seen or talked in a long time)...and that seemed to help me!!!!

I know you've probably heard this a million times by now, but...just remember she is alot happier than me or you right now!!!!

That's my mentality as well... Living is figuratively Hell... because here we experience pain, both physically and mentally. The otherside is well, Heavenly. ;)

I lost a parent 3 years ago and was in shock for at least 4 days from that experience. First really close person to me to pass away. Everything heals with time. We are sad because we can no longer enjoy the company of the people we love, here. But they truly are in a much better place and anxiously awaiting the day when we will meet up with them once again. ;)

I'm sorry for your losses Thee, Novice.

Yeah, I did notice you weren’t around for a while.

My condolences on your sad loss. You are right about remembering how people lived, rather than how they died.

Congrats also, on the new pool table.
