Not sure if it's fixed...

I had Smitfraud-C, SpyAxe and Spy Sheriff on my computer. I have followed the directions for removing them. When I run Spybot Search and destroy it still shows a problem:

Smitfraud - C, with 1 entry. When I expand it, it states "registry change". When I attempt to fix the problem, it says that it can't be fixed. Even when the computer is restarted and spybot is run on startup, it won't fix it.

All of the other scans that I have run are not detecting a problem.

    CCleaner
    Microsoft Windows Anti-Spyware
    Panda ActiveScan

I also downloaded the HijackThis file after running smitrem.exe and checked it against the listed problem files. I could not find any of the problem files on my computer.

So, my question is - Do I still have a problem ?

    Thanks in advance.

Please download DelDomains and unzip it to your desktop. Do not run it yet.

Find the files from deldomains.zip on your Desktop and RightClick on the deldomains.inf file and select Install.

(Please note you will need to "Immunize" with Spybot again because deldomains will remove all of the sites Spybot adds.)

Now see if Spybot still detects anything by running a new scan.

    ChasLang,

Thank you, it fixed and removed SmitFraud - C .

I am also having two other notifications come up on Spybot Search & Destroy. I can remove/fix them, but when the computer is restarted they reappear. They are:

    WindowsSecurityCenter.Antivirus.Disable.Notify
    WindowsSecurityCenter.Firewall.Disable.Notify

    Do I still have a problem ?

    Thanks again.

No! They are just warnings indicating that you have changed from the Windows default settings. Probably because you installed your own antivirus and firewall applications.
