not sure if its malware or just slow computer

Well facebook and the many beta form applications it has to offer are full of bugs and glitches. This does not sound like a malware issue to me, however, although FarmVille is a safe application there are many many applications and groups on facebook that you do have to avoid.

They usually encourage spamming, do not do what they purport to do, are not in any way associated with Facebook, and can even fool innocent users into giving away financial details. Generally, if something sounds too good to be true then it usually is.

Anyway I digress... FarmVille is safe but it IS in beta, so anayone who plays the game and comes across glitches you can visit their forum to post about and report. Have you tried clearing your temporary files out with something such as Ccleaner? Have you tried another browser? There's not really much more I can tell you.
