    Hello everyone!

I was here in the past for malware issues... everyone here is awesome!

My issue this time is with a new laptop. It runs win10. All updated out of the box. It's an HP Pavilion.

    Two issues:

1, I'd like to be able to side scroll, or one finger scroll along the right side of the touchpad and this seems to only do the two finger gesture crap that I loathe. Other laptops in the past I've been able to find the settings to change this, but this one doesn't seem to be capable. I cannot get used to the two finger thing.

    and

2, How do I turn off resizing the window with the mouse? I scroll A LOT for work and both of these issues are haunting me.

As much as I loathe the two finger scroll, I would appreciate knowing how to turn off magnifying the contents of the window with the mouse, if nothing else.

Thank you so much for reading! :)

Wanted to add that when working and scrolling, I often click a lot too, so it seems everything I do resizes the content. It is just like pressing ctrl & -/+. It is maddening.

Also, I've googled this to no end and have yet to come up with something.

Also wanted to add that when in mouse properties, it says I have ELAN Clickpad.

Perhaps if you posted the exact model of HP laptop, someone could help with hardware, drivers and the manual.

    Thank you for your response.

I do not have the settings listed in the article. I get to Additional Settings under touchpad, but there is no Clickpad Settings tab. I have tabs for Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options and Hardware. That's it.

I contacted HP chat and they were able to access my computer remotely and get into the right settings. It was settings that were not available to me at the time.

I'm curious. Are those settings now available to you?

Yes... if I type elan clickpad into the search it comes up. I don't understand why these settings are not in the regular mouse or touchpad settings.

Look in Control Panel for ELAN Clickpad.
