How can I copy music from a cd player to my computer. I have done this many times but my memory fails me at this time. I know I need to put a cable from the tower but cannot figure out how to do this.

Are you trying to copy music from a commercial CD player to your PC?

    Hi Eldon,
Yes, I have in the past now my memory fails me on running the cable from the cd player to the computer. Should I run the cable from the cd player to the line in on my tower?

Yes. Connnect the cable from the CD player's headphone socket to the PC's line-in. Set the CD player's volume as low as possible and take it from there. Also, you need to adjust the line-in volume.

If your tower has an optical (CD/DVD) drive, you can put your music CD in it and use ripping software to "rip" the contents of the CD to your computer.
