I have a friend that got on Major geeks today and under the adertisement section he keeps getting a woman doing very suggestive looks and showing a lot of cleavage// I've never seen this on this site. Is this some kind of virus or is he seeing things?

Can you be more specific? Give the exact full URL so we can see what page you were on.

This is not a malware issue but could be a something for the Administators to look at.

    Chaslang,

I'm not sure because he's a truck driver and uses wireless at a Flying "J" truckstop. It just started today everytime he goes on majorgeeks.com

He tried on both IE and firefox.I kept going to the same page at least a dozen times and never saw anything like that under advertisements.

But was it part of our pages or was it a popup of some sort?

Hi, we block all of those sort of advertisements including dating sites and alcohol, odds are it is from something else, but if we see, or it can be verified, we will get right on it.

Perhaps he has malware problems and the images he was seeing are related to that.

Thats what I was thinking, his AVG anti-virus was turned off today and twice today while he was on the internet windows security popped up and told him that there was no anti-virus running. He never turned off his anti-virus.

Then your friend needs to follow standard procedures we use and it may be better if he logged in himself to do them. Here they are:

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis
