Notebook for Robotics team

    We have a son getting into high school Robotics team (FIRST). He wants to get into the programming aspect and would like a notebook to take to competition. They use C programming, Inventor Autodesk and who knows what in next couple of years. He also is into gaming, of course. What would a geek (on a tight budget) recommend?
