Is anyone here familiar with NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System)?

I have a question (or two) about creating a script (xxx.nsi) to install just a desktop shortcut (and icon) to open an Index.htm file on a CD.

I don't want to create a directory on the hard drive, write all the files from the CD to it and then have the shortcut point to that directory and the index.htm therein.

    Is that possible?

I can't program nor write scripts. I create scripts by cutting, pasting and changing a working script. Don't have an example that does this and my first effort resulted in a compile error.
