I just got a new pci diamond modem v92 56k. But unfortunately it seems that things have gone wrong somehow. I do it as the manual says. But yet the device doesnt want to work, it says in the device manager "the ntkern.vxd device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver (code 2)" It goes on to say to update the driver. I dont really know what else to do, ive been all across the web, trying to figure it out posted at multiple sites sent a letter to diamond, but nothing substantial. Im using an old dell dimension xps pro 200n with pentium pro running at 200mhz 64 megs of ram. I just upgraded from win 95 to windows 98se. It seems that the only thing left for me to do is to format hard drive and reinstall windows. Any help is muchly appreciated.

START->RUN "sfc" select "extract file" from Win 98 install CD. File to extract NTKERN.VXD. Extract this file to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32. Reboot and you should be good to go.
