Heres the scoop, I had windows xp sp3 installed on my laptop. Got windows 7 ultimate, wasnt sure if it would install correctly. I installed it from windows as it wouldnt install from boot and installed it to a seperate partition. It installed just fine, gave me the option to choose xp or 7 at startup. I was like awsome it works well with my laptop. (Dell Latitude D630)

So i went and deleted, formated and moved the empty partition to where windows 7 is located.

after reboot it now says NTLDR missing. :( any ideas?

Only other option is to reinstall xp.rolleyes

Can you boot from that Win 7 disk and do a repair?

Oddly enough I cant boot from the cd, checked bios its fine, even if i change it to cd in bios and turn all other boot devices off, nothing.

Do you get an option for a recovery console on boot up?

Those directions, while great, are not for Windows 7 which the OP is now running.
You need something like BCedit or Easy BootCD for windows 7 boot problems.
