NVIDIA driver problems

My brother plays Counter Strike, and he said that when he loaded it up one day it said that the Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE sound, video and game controllers driver was out of date. So my brother went online to the Nvidia website and downloaded the driver. Thats were the problems started.

I was just scanning around the computer and under device manager it said that the driver could not start. (Code 10) So i uninstalled it, figuring no problem.

Driver Wizard poped up and said a driver download was found, the same one. so I did what it said and downloaded it. But after it finished downloading, I get a Windows message telling me that "this driver has not been tested by Windows, and can not be used" or something like that???

So I stopped the download, uninstalled what was there, reinstalled it, same problem. Now under my device manager it says Unknown Device! Go to troubleshooter and it just has me reinstall the device, which I can't install because it hasn't been tested.....you know what I mean. Its like the circle of problems. Need some help here guys!!!! I'm Confused!!!! Thx

Download and install the driver. Don't worry about the Windows warning about the driver not being 'tested' by Microsoft. Most games (and software in general) will always run better with the newest drivers installed. When you go to nvidia.com, be sure to get the driver for your model video card. Even though NVidia uses a unified driver, some of the older cards will work better with certain drivers, and the NVidia web site will direct you to the best driver for your card......
