Now the fella who built this machine for me told me it should be (for want of a better term) the dogs bollox. This machine with this vid card is no better at running COD2 than my old (5 years old) 2.8ghz machine with an old ATI card in it. I'm really concerned about the contents of those articles because Nvidia are not officially admitting to there being a problem, hence the shop where it was built will no doubt refuse to change my card...or at best, will replace it with another, equally faulty Nvidia card. I use my PC to produce music and cannot afford to be without it. The overall performance of the machine is a joke for a quad core...It takes ages to boot up, often it will jam up intermittently for no apparent reason etc... A total farce IMO.
What prompted me to appeal for advice here was the appearance of a new graphical problem I experienced today. A yellow line about 1mm thick appeard on my screen, from top to bottom..it eventually faded out only to appear 5 mins later and then dissappear again. Currently the line is not showing on screen. Please anyone out there with any info about Nvidia GE Force 8400 GS
cards or with any advice to offer me reply to this thread. I am really at the end of my tether!

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to me whine :major
