nvidia problem

hi all, i have built my own pc and used my original hdd, the motherboard i now have has its own graphics card so i uninstalled my nvidia drivers (not needed), now ad-watch keeps popping up saying a registry change detected and my moniter seems to reset after everything has loaded (its ok before and after), when i run hjt it finds O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINNT\System32\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit and O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINNT\system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup are these the problem and are they safe to remove with hjt, any info gladly accepted

 

what kind of onboard graphics does your motherboard have? Do you have those drivers correctly installed now?

If the onboard graphics are not nVidia based, then its safe to remove all nvidia graphics drivers. Instead of using HJT, I would use DriverCleaner Pro, as it knows exactly which files to remove. http://www.majorgeeks.com/Driver_Cleaner_Professional_d3214.html

Install DC Pro, boot to safe mode, open DC Pro and select 'nVidia' from the cleaning selection and simply hit start. reboot and you should be done.

 

hi, iv'e got an asrock motherboard with via/S3G unichrome pro if thats any help, got the drivers on a cd with the board all in a box

 

The files you originally mentioned are all nVidia files, so if you aren't using an nVidia product then it's safe to remove them.

Also, you shouldn't have things like AdWatch etc running when you install software so it doesn't flag you for Registry changes.
