Nvlddmkm.sys Error And Bsod

i made a thread over in http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/nvidia-drivers-crashed-and-bsod.299492/. i wasn't sure where to begin because i don't know if this is a software or hardware related issue.

Before i proceed with the malware removal guidelines which i'm not sure i can i need to know where to begin.

Basic explanation:

Normal morning routine, surf web, check email, paperwork, videos. About 2 hours ago while watching a video through WMP the video froze, audio kept playing, and mouse lagged. Within minutes the system froze. i had to do a hard restart upon which i noticed the desktop icons were large, green lines on the screen and the image color was distorted.

i thought the monitor had gone until i noticed the geforce experience program and the nvidia icon were missing on the lower right toolbar. i checked device manager and there was a windows error on the nvidia geforce gtx580 driver. i proceeded to the nvidia website > redownloaded the geforce experience, installed and prompted me to redownload the driver. i did > installed with a clean install > restarted. Same issue, drivers still missing.

Ran ccleaner then removed nvidia with revo > restarted > BSOD with Nvlddmkm.sys error. I can only boot into Safemode. Jumped on a different pc to make this post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
