O.E. 6 Attachments Windows XP home

For some reason I cannot open attachments in O.E.6.I have unchecked everything in the security section to no avail.Any help appreciated

 

Hi! Double check this settting;

1. Open Outlook Express 6.
2. Click on "Tools".
3. Click on "Options".
4. Click on "Security" tab.
5. Look under the title, "Virus Protection".
6. Make sure there is no checkmark in the box beside, "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".
7. Click on "Apply".
8. Click on "Ok".

Or is it a file extension that won't open when you click on the attachment? I've had that happen before too, and could never get it to work. I'm guessing my computer was missing a program to open it? Dunno, I hope the above helps.
