OCZ Pc6400 question

Hi all,

Plain and simple question.

As I do not have my ASUS P5Ke until next monday

Can I install my new 4gb of OCZ Pc6400 800MHZ dual channel ram
in my old Foxconn G33M board ?

I currently have 3gb of DDR Pc5400 Dual channel installed and it works fine with my mobo and Q6600 Core 2 Quad CPU.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

I have installed the said ram now into the foxconn and i'm NOT happy.

It run's well but I have no access to the bios other than a dummied down OEM bios from the manufacturer.

Think its time for a new mobo. Asus P5K-VM as its MATX like my case.

Any other ideas guys?

Hi Xray,

I tried to look up your current MB, but couldn't find it in my system. As long as you current MB supports DDR2, then you can put those in there. It will just dumb itself down to whatever speed your MB operates at....

Its working fine at the moment but only with 3gb installed, problems raised with using 4gb.

But getting new asus board friday so should be fine then.
