I have two odd folders on my desktop. I cannot open nor delete either one. One is the folder icon with a "." for its name. The other is the folder icon with a "..) 2. '" for its name.

My anti virus program runs and comes up with a clean system. My spyware and adaware programs also run clean.

    Any thoughts?

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

I have run the entire tutorial with out any problems. There were a bunch of things in backup folders that were cleansed by the programs. CWSShredder found CWS.MSconfig.

I have attached the Highjack This log, and have also kept the log from Bitdefender if that helps.

The two folders are still resisting deletion.

Scan with HijackThis and fix the follwoing:
You could use Unlocker to unlock the foolders and then delete them.

I have deleted the 2 files using hijack this, however I cannot delete the two folders with UNLOCK.

    Any suggestions?

Try using MoveOnBoot to remove those folders from your desktop.
