Hello sorry i know im new to these forums but have posted this issue on other forums without any replies or useful information.

I have been trying to figure this out since building my new comp. Ever browser i open seems to have a good 20-30 second delay before it opens, then after that it is fine. Happens every time all windows are closed and a new one is opened.

Also happens when connecting to aim, logging into games like WoW, WAR, and pretty much anything that tries to connect me to a server.

    Things i have tried:

    Downloaded latest NIC drivers
4 different browsers (not that it would fix the connecting to Game Server issues, but i tried)
    No add-ons on browsers
    No viruses / spyware
Tried direct connection from modem to computer

Note: Internet doesn't have this delay while on my other desktop or on my laptop which are both connected through the same router.

I'm really stuck here on things to try, so any suggestions will be helpful.

    Thank You

Here is a Hijackthis log if it will help at all:

I find this one kind of interesting, if you *don't* have malware, cuz browser getting *real* slow, is often evidence of this...I know what *I'd* do, tho u may already kind of have done this anyway, is go ahead and go to the malware forum, read thru the "readme" sticky, and post your *logs* (as attachments, as you know), when you are done, that way not only will someone really savvy check yer logs for malware--I've been wrong, after doing the things you said--but also, just going thru the "readme first" sticky, often, I find either *malware* or some program running, that is slowing everything down...

Again, this isn't to suggest you haven't already done most of these things, etc., just simply that it is what I've done twice now, w/computers, and found where the problem was, simply by eliminating everything else....kind of like Sherlock Holmes, who once said somethiing like "by eliminating the impossible, Watson, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth..." or something like that :-D

Oh, and check yer ram, if yer running new apps/games, I didn't see what that is, and even here, u need to post hijack this, whatever, in attachments, that's why it got deleted...

Anyway, probably nothing you wanted--or needed--to hear, but best wishes....
