OEx - Same stuff continually

I keep getting disconnected from OEx and then this msg even after just a few seconds into download:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'inbound.att.net (1)', Server: 'inbound.att.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Did as suggested, problem still there.
Loads first 3 messages out of 40+, then shuts off, error message same as original post.
When I restart download process, it downloads same three messages and stops, displays same error message. (Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Have closed OEx completely, restarted. Closed OEx, cleared any programs working, shut down and restarted computer. No change.
Email is mixed bag of private and advertisements
Phone call to AT&T?

Got a hold of AT&T, problem corrected.
Had been cleaning house and had a slew of email in delete. Incoming got hit with a ton, much from holiday ads. Likely system was overloaded and disc capacity lacking.
