Off-screen Volumemcontrols. Can I get them back?

A few weeks ago, I set up my laptop with an additional monitor just to see how I could use the extra space. Before disabling it, I moved my Volume properies off the screen onto the second monitor.

Now that I'm back to just the regular monitor, I can no longer adjust the Volume properties, just the overall volume. The wav volume is set very low so now I can barely hear anything from the speakers. Is there a program or something built into Windows that will allow me to reset it's position back onto my screen? I've tried reconnecting the second monitor, but it's nowhere to be found.

I assume you have tried the regular START>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Audio tab and use the various button options within that tab?
