Office 2000 product key

I have a legal copy of Office 2000 I purchased some time ago. However, I lost the product and it's not installed on my computer (hence, something like Belarc Advisor is not an option). Is there a way that I can get this key off of the CD or from Microsoft? Are there any options short of buying a new version of Office? Thanks.

After 4 years I won't be able to find it, heck I can't even find the product key. Is there anything I can do or am I SOL? Is the key on the disc? Can I use another product key? Is there any way for me to retrieve the key that came with the disc? Thanks.

 

There are no product key's on the disc.
If contacting microsoft not an option, looks like your best bet is too purchase new.

 

How is there no product key on the disc? I guess it uses a hash of the product key?

 

You've been given your solution. The product key is not stored on the CD, on any way, shape or form.

Call Microsoft, get another key. Generally speaking, replacement keys are cheap.
