Just a quick question regarding win 10 upgrade and microsoft office 2007 ultimate. The wife and I use this program everyday on a win 7 computer and an 8.1 system with no problems. Does anyone know if I will have problems installing and using it when we are upgraded to win 10? Thank you in advance if someone knows.

I've just upgraded a Win 7 system that had Office 2007 and I haven't seen any issues with it at all, nor with any other software that was installed. If you upgrade rather than do a clean Win 10 install you don't have to reinstall your software, it just carries over to 10.

Since 2007 came up with the big toolbar, I've used 2010 and 2013. Currently running beta 2016 and each version is much better. I'm loving this new version.

But, I'm happy to hear that 2007 is compatible with windows 10.

Thank you for the responses. 'theefool' trying to determine if it is best to just go ahead and finally upgrade by purchasing a new version of (are there significant benefits) 'office 2013' or wait for 'office 2016' or, even try out 'office 365'. and just pay $99 bucks a year. Anyone have any opinions on 'office 365'? Does it include 'publisher'? Thanks again for any opinions.:confused:confused

No idea about 365. IF you can hold off, I'd wait. 2016 has some great features coming. IMHO. The biggest, not for tech heads, but for layman users is the ability to search for what you want to find, and the application will suggest the object you are looking for. Similar to a limited version of cortana built into office 2016.

You shouldn't have a problem using MSO 2007 in Windows 10. Microsoft has always ensured older versions of MSO run in newer versions of Windows. I recently installed MSO 2003 in Windows 8 for a friend - no problems at all.

Thanks again for the info. Think I'll wait and maybe try and get 'office 2013' at a reduced price once '2016' is released. I had no problems installing '2007' on my wife's new win 8.1 machine, but never know when the 'powers that be' decide to change things. Just was curious about 'office 365' and if anyone had experience using it. Sounded interesting, being able to use it across up to 5 computers. But I am paranoid and like my physical hard discs on hand for future use and repair. Sooner or later, tho, everything will be out there in the clouds, but don't think I'll be here. Thank you all again.;);)
